Hi I’m Karla!
My lifelong love for pop up books has led me to start Pop Up Occasions, where we specialise in making amazing pop-up and 3D cards. My fascination with the mechanics behind them started when I was a child – taking apart those delicate pages just so that I could see how they work. For some reason, it always felt like there was something special about paper; maybe because of its ability to create an illusion of depth through nothing but one simple sheet. When it was time for my own wedding invitations the idea struck me – why not make them in the same manner?
There was only one problem – there were no available suppliers that could offer what I had in mind- so naturally, I made them myself. Everyone loved how unique they were and needless to say; this was just the beginning of an incredible story about creating paper magic. I always find making pop up cards as fun and exciting, that’s why every card we make has those elements because every occasion is an opportunity to celebrate!
Conceptualisation
We work with you to understand your requirements and objectives for the pop up card. We also discuss any working concept you may have and refine it with our knowledge of pop up executions that may effectively deliver your message.
Design & Mock Up
We work on the design based on our conceptualisation discussion. We then create a mock up for your review and feedback. This will allow you to better appreciate the pop up card concept as well as confirm that the design is as expected. Our process allows revisions where necessary.
Production
We only proceed with producing your cards after getting your go-ahead. Once the design and mock up are approved, we proceed with production of your pop up cards! All you need to do now is sit back and relax. We will notify you once cards are ready to be delivered.
