It was a pleasure to work with the bride and groom on their wedding invitation. They wanted something fun and unexpected, so they decided to have a pop-up wedding invitation that featured both the ceremony and reception venues as the pop up elements. The result is an elegant, yet playful invitation that will make for great conversation among guests at the event!
Their wedding ceremony was held in Morden Park House, a stunning historic building in London that was built between 1800 and 1802. It is now owned by the City of Westminster, who welcome thousands of visitors each year to experience its grandeur and beauty for free!
Following their wedding ceremony is their reception held at Richmond Hill Hotel, a luxury boutique hotel in London. This four-star Victorian property was built at the turn of the 19th century and is located just 20 minutes from central London, close to Richmond Park! You can imagine how amazing both structures are and so was a perfect choice for a pop up card theme.
The pop-up element on this pop up wedding invitation features Morden Park House on the left side with the ceremony details, and on the right, a pop up showing the reception venue, Richmond Hill Hotel, overlooking beautiful St James’ park! We brainstormed the idea with the couple and incorporated one of the snaps of the groom of the part background to add some personal touch. The paper stock used is 250gsm which is perfect for these types of pop up cards as they make the pop up elements stand erect without making the card too bulky and heavy.
For the design, the bride wanted something of a floral theme so we had incorporated this as well. The pop up cards were finished with a cream envelope. The result – a gorgeous eye-catching wedding invitation for their guests! We are very happy to have worked on this pop up wedding invitation for such a lovely couple, one of our first pop up events! We are looking forward to creating more pop ups soon!
